49-year-old man arrested for drug trafficking in Meadela
A 49-year-old man was arrested in Meadela, in the district of Viana do Castelo, on suspicion of involvement in the trafficking of drugs. The man, who was already on record with the PSP for similar criminal offences, was remanded in custody after being presented to a judge.
During the police operation, several substances were found in his possession: heroin sufficient for approximately 37 doses, cocaine for approximately 12 doses and hashish for nine doses. In addition to the narcotics, the authorities seized a mobile phone and various implements used in the handling and preparation of products for sale to the public.
The arrest was carried out by the PSP and the case is now in the hands of the judiciary.
