A 74-year-old man was detained by the Judicial Police in Lamego, suspected of attempted aggravated homicide, damage and threats, after stabbing a victim in the chest during a confrontation stemming from workplace disputes.

The Judicial Police detained a septuagenarian in Lamego, accused of attempting to kill another person with a sharp object. The crime occurred in the early hours of 25 June, in a public thoroughfare in the city.
According to the investigation, the confrontation between the accused and the victim originated from professional disagreements that began the previous day. During the discussion, the suspect allegedly damaged the victim's car and threatened the victim's wife.
The situation escalated when the 74-year-old man injured the victim in the thorax with a blade weapon, causing serious injuries. The victim was assisted at the scene and subsequently transported to hospital, where they were treated and discharged.
The detainee will be brought before the court for questioning and for coercive measures to be determined. The investigation is being conducted by the Public Ministry of Lamego.
