A 74-year-old man was arrested in Viseu district after stabbing a colleague in the chest during a work-related argument that had begun the previous day.

The Judicial Police arrested a 74-year-old individual in the municipality of Tarouca, in the northern zone of Viseu. The team from the Criminal Investigation Department of Vila Real is holding him responsible for attempted qualified homicide, property damage, and threats.
Everything took place in the early hours of 25 June on a public street. The conflict arose from professional disagreements between the two parties. Hostilities began the previous day, when the alleged aggressor is said to have damaged a vehicle and intimidated the victim's wife.
On the night of the crime, the argument reignited. The septuagenarian struck a blow with a sharp cutting weapon to the other man's chest region. The severity of the injuries required emergency assistance at the scene, followed by transport to hospital, where the victim was treated and has already been discharged.
The defendant was taken to Lamego Court to be questioned and to be informed of the enforcement measures that will be applied to him.
