The Judicial Police, through its Northern Directorate, detained on 25 August an 18-year-old man suspected of sexual acts with adolescents, aggravated domestic violence and illicit recordings and photographs, committed in Vila Nova de Gaia, according to Google News PT — Crime.

The facts occurred between August 2024 and June 2026, within the context of an abusive romantic relationship. The victim, a minor who was 14 years old at the start of events, was subjected to repeated physical and psychological abuse in several locations throughout the city.

Evidence-gathering procedures made it possible to contextualise the assaults and gather sufficient evidence of the alleged crimes.

The detained man, a student with no previous criminal record, was brought before a judicial inquiry.
