The Public Security Police (PSP) in Seixal arrested a 21-year-old man for the crimes of possession of a prohibited firearm and drug trafficking, the force announced in a statement. According to osetubalense.com, the arrest took place on 23 July during a roadside inspection operation.
The detainee was in possession of a Browning "FN-Baby" firearm, calibre 6.35 mm, accompanied by six rounds of ammunition. Twenty doses of cocaine and 90 euros in cash were also found.
Following his arrest, the young man was questioned at an initial judicial hearing at the Seixal District Court. The suspect was ordered to sign a bond of residence, according to the PSP statement.
