Young man arrested in Vila Nova de Gaia for sexual abuse and assault of 14-year-old girlfriend
An 18-year-old young man was arrested by the Judicial Police in Porto for filming sexual acts with a minor and assaulting her during an abusive relationship.

An 18-year-old young man was arrested on Tuesday in Vila Nova de Gaia by the Judicial Police of the North, suspected of having assaulted his girlfriend, aged 14, and of having filmed videos and photographed sexual acts committed with the victim during a relationship described as abusive, reported Correio da Manhã.
The crimes under investigation encompass sexual acts with adolescents, aggravated domestic violence and unlawful recordings and photographs. According to the PJ, the facts occurred between August 2024 and June 2025, "in the context of a romantic relationship with abusive characteristics".
"In addition to sexual assaults, the victim, a minor, at the beginning of the facts aged 14, was subjected to physical and psychological abuse – committed repeatedly, in various locations in that city", the same source highlighted.
Following the investigative steps taken, it was possible, according to the Judicial Police of the North, to "contextualise the assaults and abusive acts of a sexual nature, with circumstantial evidence of the reported facts having been gathered".
The suspect, a student with no criminal record, was brought before an initial judicial interrogation. The judge imposed restrictive measures on him that include a prohibition on contact with the victim and a prohibition on remaining near her residence and the educational establishment he attends. Compliance with these restrictions will be monitored by technical remote-monitoring means.
