Arrested in flagrante delicto in Évora with hashish, cocaine and MDMA
Google News PT — Crime (pt) reports that a 33-year-old woman was arrested in flagrante delicto by the PSP for drug trafficking in Évora on Saturday night following a traffic stop in the city.
The Regional Public Prosecutor's Office of Évora, through the Public Prosecutor (MP), confirmed the arrest. Combining what the suspect was carrying and what was found in a search of her residence, the PSP seized more than 500 grammes of hashish, cocaine and MDMA, as well as items associated with drug trafficking and a sum of money from the sale of these products to consumers.
The defendant was brought before a judge for a first hearing on Monday. She is "charged with the offence of drug trafficking" and, according to the MP, "strongly suspected of having been engaged in this criminal activity for at least the past year".
After the hearing, the court ordered the woman's preventive detention, as the risks of "continuation of criminal activity and obstruction of the investigation" were verified.
Investigations are continuing under the direction of the 1st section of the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) of Évora, with the assistance of the PSP.
