A gang of three suspects robbed approximately 100,000 euros in gold from two jewellery shops on the South Bank. The PJ is investigating possible links to other robberies, including 48,000 euros in gold in Lisbon.

The Judicial Police have widened the scope of the investigation into two lightning raids on jewellery shops on the South Bank of the Tagus, according to Correio da Manhã. The crimes were committed on Wednesday, in Almada and Seixal, and are believed to have yielded a gang of three thieves a total of approximately 100,000 euros in gold.
One of the suspects is identified by authorities as possibly being a woman. The two robberies present characteristics similar to other armed robberies of commercial establishments in the same region, which led the PJ to widen the perimeter of the investigation.
The South Bank crimes may also be linked to a third robbery that occurred on Thursday, in Lisbon, where gold worth 48,000 euros was stolen. The authorities are seeking to establish a link between these incidents and determine whether the same group is responsible for all the attacks.
