The facts date back to 2006 and 2022, as disclosed by the Judicial Police in a statement. The fugitive was residing in Switzerland when local authorities located him and proceeded with his arrest.
Following his detention, the defendant was extradited to Portuguese territory. The man is currently serving the custodial sentence imposed on him.
The operation resulted from collaboration between the Portuguese and Swiss judicial systems, within the framework of international police and judicial cooperation instruments.
