Four arrested in Alcobaça for drug trafficking and possession of firearms
Four male individuals aged between 28 and 50 years were arrested by the GNR in Alcobaça. The charges include trafficking in illicit substances and possession of prohibited firearms and projectiles.
The operation resulted from an inquiry that had been ongoing for approximately one year, concentrating on the marginal areas of Pataias. Officers executed ten search warrants at three locations: Pataias, Martingança and Casal da Areia.
Among the items seized by the authorities were a pistol, seven nine-millimetre projectiles, blade weapons, 822 portions of cocaine and 303 portions of cannabis. Other materials linked to drug trafficking were also confiscated.
In addition to the four arrested, two further men, aged 44 and 51, were constituted as suspects in the course of the proceedings carried out.
