The Republican National Guard detained four individuals in Setúbal following an operation that resulted in the seizure of four tonnes of drugs. In addition to the narcotic substance, the authorities confiscated two vessels and ten jerry cans, four of which still contained fuel inside. The information was reported by Correio da Manhã.
The detainees were presented for their initial judicial hearing, with the court ordering preventive custody as a precautionary measure.
The GNR operation represents one of the largest blows against drug trafficking in the Setúbal region in recent times.
