An international police operation, coordinated by the Criminal Police (PJ) of Portugal, culminated in the detention of six individuals and the seizure of approximately half a tonne of narcotic substances.

The action, which involved cooperation between law-enforcement forces from several countries, aimed to dismantle a drug-trafficking network operating at a transnational level. In the course of investigations and interventions carried out, the authorities succeeded in identifying and detaining six suspects, as well as confiscating 500 kilogrammes of narcotics.

The PJ led the operational work, demonstrating the capacity of Portuguese authorities to coordinate joint efforts in combating organised crime of international dimension.
