Two young men, aged 18 and 26, were injured by gunshots on Rua João XXIII in Rio de Mouro, Sintra. The PSP and PJ are investigating the case.

Shooting in Rio de Mouro leaves two injured during early hours

Two individuals were injured by gunshots in the early hours of Tuesday in Rio de Mouro, municipality of Sintra. The incident occurred on Rua João XXIII.

The two victims are 18 and 26 years old. One of them presented himself at Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando da Fonseca (also designated Hospital Amadora-Sintra) with a bullet wound to the left arm.

PSP officers went to the location indicated by that person and there located the second injured individual, also hit by projectiles, although with less serious injuries.

The case was handed over to the Judicial Police, which is investigating what actually happened.
