Operation in Silvio Pettirossi: "creative" venue was drug distribution point
Special agents from the National Anti-Drugs Secretariat (SENAD) intervened on Monday at a premises in the Silvio Pettirossi neighbourhood of Asunción that operated under the guise of a "creative space", according to a report from abc.com.py. In reality, the establishment functioned as a point of distribution and consumption of illicit substances.
During the raid, carried out with the accompaniment of the Public Ministry, 98 grammes of marijuana, 28 MDMA tablets—ecstasy—and 1.2 grammes of ketamine powder were seized. Agents also found 13 tablets of supposed caffeine, four empty ketamine bottles, two precision scales, cash of various denominations and a mobile telephone.
As a result of the operation, David Fernando Halles Ayala was detained. He has a criminal record for violation of Law 1.340/88 and had been arrested previously in 2019. "He got out of prison and reactivated the space," officials from the anti-drugs portfolio indicated.
