A 22-year-old man is suspected of bringing almost 5.3 kg of cannabis into Romania through a delivery company. A 17-year-old was detained whilst collecting the package. The estimated value of the drugs is approximately 60,000 euros.

An investigation by officers from the Organised Crime Combat Brigade in Constanța, coordinated by DIICOT prosecutors, has resulted in the detention of two individuals in a case concerning the introduction and distribution of drugs.
According to Adevărul, a 22-year-old allegedly obtained approximately 5.3 kilograms of cannabis from Spain. He allegedly sent the substance to Romania via a courier company, intending to sell it.
On 24 June, a 17-year-old teenager was captured at the moment he was collecting the parcel containing the drugs, at the request of the main suspect. Law enforcement estimates that the confiscated drugs are worth around 60,000 euros on the black market.
The two were detained by DIICOT prosecutors – Constanța Territorial Service and are due to be brought before a court with a request for them to be placed in one month's preventive detention.
