59-year-old man from Târgu Mureș arrested for rape and child sexual abuse material involving 7-year-old girl
A 59-year-old man has been arrested pending trial in Târgu Mureș for rape of a minor and child sexual abuse material. The victim, a 7-year-old relative, is alleged to have been filmed in explicit sexual situations.
Preventive arrest in Târgu Mureș following rape and illegal filming of 7-year-old girl
According to G4Media, the judge for rights and liberties at Mureș County Court ordered on 15 June the preventive arrest of a 59-year-old man from Târgu Mureș, investigated for rape of a minor and child sexual abuse material.
According to investigators, during the course of 2026, the defendant allegedly forced a 7-year-old girl, his relative, to engage in sexual acts. "By threatening acts of violence and taking advantage of the impossibility for her to express her will, the defendant determined a minor victim aged 7 years, his relative, to engage in sexual acts," prosecutors from the Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism – Târgu Mureș Territorial Service stated.
In addition to the sexual assault, the man allegedly recorded on his personal mobile phone a video in which the minor appeared in explicit sexual situations and subsequently stored the materials obtained in this manner.
Judicial activities were carried out in collaboration with police officers from the Organised Crime Combat Brigade in Târgu Mureș.
