A 43-year-old man entered Alba Iulia Police headquarters with a weapon and an airsoft grenade, asking an officer to shoot him. He was detained for 24 hours.

According to tvrinfo.ro, a 43-year-old man from Alba Iulia was detained after entering the access control area of Alba Iulia Municipal Police headquarters with an airsoft-type weapon and a grenade used in airsoft games.
Once inside, the man — described as extremely agitated — pointed the objects at the police officer on duty and asked him to shoot him. The officers present in the building immobilised and handcuffed him.
Officers from the Special Actions Service subsequently intervened. Following a body search, a pocket knife was also discovered on him.
"A 43-year-old man from Alba Iulia municipality allegedly entered the access control area of Alba Iulia Municipal Police headquarters, having on him an Airsoft-type weapon and a grenade used in Airsoft games, which he allegedly pointed at the police officer on duty, asking him to shoot him," said Mădălina Crișan, spokesperson for the Alba County Police Inspectorate.
The man was detained for 24 hours. The investigation is to establish the circumstances in which the incident occurred.
