A 30-year-old man was remanded in custody after assaulting and robbing a 49-year-old man in a bar in Brașov, stealing 8,500 lei.

Robbery in Brașov bar toilet: suspect from Făgăraș detained and arrested
A 30-year-old man from Făgăraș municipality has been remanded in custody for 30 days after allegedly hitting a 49-year-old man in the toilet of a public establishment in Brașov and stealing his wallet containing 8,500 lei, according to bunaziuafagaras.ro.
The incident occurred on 9 June, at approximately 19.40. According to investigators, the suspect allegedly entered the toilet of the commercial establishment, physically assaulted the victim, took the wallet with the aforementioned sum, and then immediately left the scene.
Following investigations, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Brașov Police Department identified the suspect and ordered his detention for 24 hours, with placement in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Centre of the Brașov Inspectorate of the Police.
On 15 June, the investigating prosecutor presented the man before a judge of rights and freedoms, who ordered preventive arrest for 30 days. Investigations are continuing under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office attached to Brașov Court, regarding the commission of the robbery offence.
