A 39-year-old man from Gorj county is in preventive detention, suspected of sexually abusing his own 13-year-old daughter. All three children of the family have been referred to specialised protection services.

A 39-year-old man, domiciled in Gorj county, is behind bars based on a preventive measure ordered by judges. The man is suspected of having maintained sexual relations under coercion with his daughter, a 13-year-old adolescent.
The investigation began on Saturday, when police officers from Motru requested assistance from a specialist in psychology employed at DGASPC Gorj. The purpose was to assist in interviewing the young woman. During the discussions, the girl recounted the assault she suffered within the family.
The specialist provided emotional support throughout the entire meeting. This type of assistance will continue throughout the entire legal proceedings.
In parallel, employees of the social assistance directorate discovered that the victim has two more brothers: one aged 16 and another only 2 years old. Both were unsupervised at the home of a relative, because their mother works outside the country.
As a result, all three siblings have been taken under state protection through an accelerated procedure. Each of them will benefit from psychological therapy sessions adapted to their age, in order to cope with the traumatic experience.
Minodora Sucea, spokesperson for DGASPC Gorj, confirmed the intervention of the institution, according to information published by G4Media.ro.
