Axes in a bar, threats in court: man from Teleorman sent to custody
ProTV news reports that everything began on the night of 10 October, when a 33-year-old man from Roșiorii de Vede entered an establishment at midnight carrying two axes. According to investigators, the individual allegedly threatened several people with whom he had previously been in conflict and struck at least one man with the handle of one of the axes.
Police charged him, and the court ordered his house arrest.
Three days later, the suspect was brought before the judge after prosecutors requested his preventive detention. In the courtroom, the man became aggressive and repeatedly threatened the duty prosecutor, according to investigators. Although he was asked to calm down, he did not comply with the requests.
A few days after this incident, the man appeared before a magistrate again — this time following a request filed by his father for the issuance of a protection order. The father claimed that his son had been aggressive towards him and had threatened him. On this occasion too, the suspect resorted to threats, this time directed at the judge hearing the case.
Based on the two courtroom incidents, investigators opened a criminal case for contempt of court and breach of courtroom solemnity. An arrest warrant was issued, and the man is currently in detention.
