A man was detained by law enforcement after being caught in flagrante delicto whilst in possession of a significant quantity of narcotic substances. More than 200 grammes of high-risk drugs were discovered on him.
According to information released by Romanian Border Police, the person in question was identified while transporting the drugs. Authorities intervened promptly and proceeded to detain the suspect.
Subsequently, prosecutors brought the case before a court with a request for remand in custody. The judges approved the request and ordered the issuance of a remand warrant for a period of 30 days.
The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances in which the offence occurred and to identify any persons involved in the distribution network.
