A 24-year-old individual has been remanded in custody in Argeș County, accused of forcing a minor to produce sexually explicit material via an internet application.

Law enforcement in Argeș has succeeded in remanding a 24-year-old individual in custody, suspected of sexually exploiting a seven-year-old girl through a digital platform, according to information released by IPJ Argeș and reported by Agerpres and G4Media.
The investigation was conducted by officers from BCCO Pitești, under the coordination of DIICOT prosecutors. They established that the alleged perpetrator made contact with the child through an online service and induced her to film herself in explicit poses.
According to documents compiled by investigators, during May 2025, the suspect allegedly repeatedly persuaded the child to perform intimate gestures, with the aim of obtaining images and clips with erotic content. In exchange for these, the man allegedly sent the minor various materials of the same nature.
Based on the evidence gathered, DIICOT prosecutors in Pitești decided to issue a detention order. Subsequently, the Argeș Court converted the measure to one month of preventive arrest.
The perpetrator is accused of serious offences, including sexual abuse of minors, child pornography and inducing a child to engage in sexual relations.
