Notebook with debts vanishes in unexplained circumstances after Sibiu millionaire's death
A notebook in which Adrian Kreiner recorded loans granted to friends and employees has vanished from the villa of the Sibiu businessman, who was killed in November 2023. Without that document, his daughter and heir, Vanessa, can no longer recover the sums given to people in her father's circle, Gândul reports exclusively.
Kreiner used to lend money for houses and cars, and all these debts were recorded manually in the notebook, which he kept in his home. Following his unexpected death, the notebook could not be found, under circumstances that remain unclear.
Tortured for 40 minutes in his own villa
On 4 November 2023, three robbers broke into Kreiner's villa in Sibiu and beat him for approximately 40 minutes, until his death. Present in the home were his daughter, 20 years old at the time, threatened with a gun by one of the attackers, and his concubine, Adriana Viliginschi, who hid in a wardrobe during the assault. Finally, the three took the victim's watches and a substantial sum of money.
The three killers—Laurențiu Ghiță, Marian Minae and Cosmin Zuleam—were later identified by authorities.
Business assets divided after death
Following the businessman's death, his assets were divided between his daughter Vanessa and Adriana Viliginschi, who also retained the villa in Sibiu.
People close to Kreiner told Gândul that he was known for his generosity towards those around him. It is precisely this generosity that makes the currently undocumented sums legally irrecoverable.
He refused an alarm system
The same open and unsuspecting character apparently led Kreiner to refuse installation of an alarm system at his villa, despite explicit recommendations received from the owner of a security firm in Sibiu, which also handled the installation of such systems.
Sources cited by Gândul indicate that the businessman rejected the proposal, arguing that he had no enemies and was too well known in the city to become a target for criminals. The events of 4 November 2023 disproved this belief.
