Cristian Pomohaci remains in pre-trial detention in two criminal cases

Folk music performer Cristian Pomohaci will remain behind bars as magistrates have rejected his requests to review the preventive measure. The decisions have become final, according to TVR Info.

In the first case, judges at Mureș County Court upheld the decision of Târgu Mureș District Court from 4 June 2026, through which the artist was remanded in custody for 30 days while being investigated for offences against sexual freedom and integrity. The appeal filed by the defendant was deemed without merit on 11 June.

In the second case, magistrates of Târgu Mureș Court of Appeal also confirmed the detention order issued for offences of trafficking in dangerous narcotic substances.

The two investigations were initiated following raids a week earlier at two properties belonging to the singer. Law enforcement officers seized approximately 20 grammes of 3-CMC, a substance on the list of high-risk drugs, plus approximately two million euros in various currencies.

The judicial proceedings continue with the man in a state of detention.
