A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man have been detained by police on suspicion of trafficking in high-risk drugs. Investigators found them in possession of over 20 grams of cocaine, divided into nearly 50 packets.

A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy came to the attention of law enforcement in Craiova, suspected of trafficking in prohibited substances. Investigators from the Organised Crime Fighting Brigade, together with prosecutors from DIICOT – Craiova Territorial Bureau, monitored the activities of the two during the months of May and June 2026.
According to the criminal case file, the young people are suspected of having purchased, stored and resold cocaine in the city area, sometimes individually, sometimes coordinating with each other. On 18 June, intervention teams caught them whilst attempting to deliver 25 grams of cocaine, already packaged in 49 small packets ready for distribution.
On the same day, law enforcement conducted a search at the suspects' residence. Conical containers used for packaging were confiscated, a bag containing white powder to be analysed by laboratory, plus a quantity of cash. All of these were seized as evidence.
Prosecutors ordered the detention measure for one day. On 19 June, the case was presented to the judge for rights and liberties at Dolj Court, with a request for one month of preventive arrest.
