A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were caught by law enforcement whilst attempting to deliver drugs to clients on 18 June 2026 in the municipality of Craiova. Upon them, police found 25 grammes of cocaine, divided into 49 small packages ready for sale.
An investigation by DIICOT and the Organised Crime Fighting Brigade revealed that throughout May and June, the two had purchased, stored and resold varying quantities of prohibited substance, sometimes acting separately and sometimes together across the city's territory.
On 18 June, police intervened and blocked the delivery. They confiscated the drugs and later searched the suspects' residences. There they seized containers used for dividing the product, a bag containing white powder undergoing laboratory analysis, plus a sum of cash.
Prosecutors ordered the immediate detention of the two, and the following day requested that the judge of rights and liberties at Dolj Court issue a warrant for one month's preventive arrest.
