Prosecutors from DIICOT Brașov have obtained the pending trial arrest of two people accused of trafficking in risk and high-risk drugs. They were selling prohibited substances including in Galați.

Investigators in Brașov have put an end to the illicit activity of two dealers who were distributing psychoactive substances in several areas across the country. The individuals were placed in pending trial detention for 30 days, after judges at Brașov Tribunal approved the request from DIICOT prosecutors.
The operation was carried out by police specialising in combating organised crime, under the supervision of the anti-corruption prosecutor's office. The two defendants are suspected of having sold drugs both in their city of residence and in Galați.
One of them is accused of distributing risk substances, while the other is accused of trafficking in risk and high-risk drugs. During the investigation, authorities confiscated quantities of narcotics put up for sale by the network.
On 23 June, law enforcement officers conducted raids in three residences. Packages and containers with drug residues, precision scales, cash and other materials to be used as evidence in court were seized.
Following the raids, both individuals were taken to police headquarters and detained. A day later, the court decided to deprive the two of their liberty for a period of one month.
