An investigation by the Directorate for Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism is targeting a private medical entity located in Ploiești. Investigators have established that the damage caused through criminal activities amounts to more than 2.4 million lei.
In the course of the operation carried out, law enforcement officers detained four people implicated in the illegal scheme. Another 13 suspects are under criminal investigation in the same case.
Investigators are analysing how financial operations were conducted at the respective clinic. The exact details concerning the criminal mechanism and the role of each participant are to be clarified during the course of the investigation.
The case is being handled by the central structure of DIICOT, which specialises in combating organised crime and large-scale fraud.
