A man aged 24 has been remanded in custody by magistrates after law enforcement caught him recruiting minors on the internet.

A 24-year-old man was remanded in provisional custody on Wednesday, suspected of sexually abusing children whom he contacted through social media. The investigation is being conducted by officers from the Organised Crime Combating Brigade, with the support of the Argeș County Police Inspectorate.
The individual is being investigated for several serious offences: compelling minors to engage in sexual acts, sexual corruption of children and possession of child pornographic material. The principal victim identified so far is only seven years old.
The authorities have not provided further details about how the suspect made contact with the victim or the exact number of children targeted. Investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the alleged offences.
