Law enforcement forces in Craiova have dismantled a drug distribution network. Several individuals were apprehended with cocaine and cannabis.

Several drug dealers operating in Craiova have been captured by law enforcement in a large-scale operation carried out by BCCO and DIICOT. According to Cuvântul Libertății, two individuals, both aged 27, have been charged with distributing prohibited substances and have been issued a preventive arrest warrant for a period of one month.
The investigation began approximately one and a half years ago, with investigators documenting how the two supplied the local market with cannabis and cocaine. The substances were sold directly in the municipality.
During raids carried out at the suspects' residences, police officers found doses already prepared for delivery, precision scales, grinding apparatus and other objects contaminated with traces of drugs. The materials were confiscated to serve as evidence in court.
Judges from the Dolj Court decided to incarcerate the two for a period of 30 days.
Separately, a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were caught whilst delivering 25 grammes of cocaine, packaged in 49 small sachets. During a search of their residence, investigators discovered containers used for dosing, a bag of white powder to be analysed by specialists and cash. The two were also held in custody, and prosecutors requested the court to issue an arrest warrant.
Officers from the Craiova Mobile Gendarmerie Unit also participated in the operation.
