Three arrested in Constanța for international drug trafficking
An 18-year-old young woman and two men aged 20 and 25 have been detained by DIICOT prosecutors in Constanța for trafficking in high-risk drugs, in particular 3CMC.
Three arrested in Constanța for international drug trafficking
On 16 June 2026, judges from DIICOT – Constanța Territorial Bureau decided to detain three individuals: a woman aged 18 and two men aged 20 and 25. They are being investigated for importing into the country and selling dangerous substances, including 3CMC, popularly called "crystal".
According to the case file, in the period April–June 2026, the teenager purchased, stored and distributed varying quantities of this psychoactive substance, sometimes acting alone, sometimes together with a 19-year-old young man who is the subject of a search.
The investigation revealed that in June 2026, the woman imported approximately three kilograms of 3CMC in crystalline form from Poland. The package arrived in Romania through an international courier company. On 15 June, she and her 20-year-old accomplice were caught in the act of collecting the parcel, which was subsequently to be sold.
The third suspect, a 25-year-old man, is suspected of having possession of and selling highly dangerous narcotics in the period March–April 2026. It is also presumed that he facilitated the transfer of quantities of 3CMC to the 19-year-old fugitive.
Law enforcement officers conducted raids on the suspects' residences, seizing multiple ecstasy pills, a quantity of cannabis, a grinding device, items contaminated with prohibited substance, a laptop computer, cash in the national currency, and other evidentiary materials.
On the same day, a judge from Constanța Court ordered the measure of preventive arrest for 30 days. The Prosecutor's Office also requested the issuance of an arrest warrant in absentia for the 19-year-old young man who disappeared.
The operation was carried out with the support of officers from BCCO Constanța and gendarmes from the Mobile Unit in the city.
