A 48-year-old man, Ukrainian national, was detained in Constanța after border police caught him with over 100 grammes of cannabis resin brought from America.

A 48-year-old man, originally from Ukraine, was detained by DIICOT prosecutors – Constanța Territorial Service, on suspicion of illegal introduction of dangerous drugs into Romania.
He was identified by Border Police officers at Mihail Kogălniceanu International Airport, carrying a quantity exceeding 100 grammes of cannabis resin. The narcotics are said to have been brought from the United States.
Currently, magistrates at Constanța Court have received a request to place the suspect in preventive arrest for 30 days.
The investigation was carried out in collaboration with the border authority at Constanța airport.
