A young driver who lost control of his car on Sunday morning due to excessive speed and collided with a concrete barrier has died in hospital.
24-year-old dies from injuries sustained in traffic accident near Zrkovci
A 24-year-old driver who was involved in an accident on Sunday morning in the Zrkovci area has died in hospital from serious injuries. The Maribor Police Directorate reported this today.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 am. The young man was driving a private car but lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed. He veered off to the right side of the road and collided with a concrete barrier. He sustained serious bodily injuries, from which he subsequently died in the healthcare facility.
In the area covered by the Maribor police directorate, six fatal traffic accidents have been dealt with so far this year, in which eight people have died. In the previous year, three people died in three such accidents.
