On Tuesday, criminal investigators dealt with two cases of domestic violence. Near Šentjernej, a son attacked his mother, whilst in Brežice a man abused his partner and threatened her with death.

At ten o'clock in the morning, officers at Šentjernej Station were informed of an incident in a household near Tomažje village. Officers were immediately deployed to the scene.
During the inspection, they established that a 39-year-old man had used physical and psychological force against his own mother. The responsible officers issued him with a restraining order, arrested him and announced that a report would be filed with the prosecution.
Later that same day, shortly after six in the evening, they received another report of domestic violence, this time near Brežice. In this case too, they responded quickly and secured the affected person.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had inflicted physical and psychological violence on his partner and threatened her with murder. A restraining order was imposed against him, he was detained, and evidence is being gathered for an indictment, which will subsequently be filed with the appropriate court.
