As reported by nadlani.si, parents of pupils at Slave Klavora Primary School in Maribor received notification on Sunday evening of alleged threats that a seventh-year pupil allegedly posted on social media. Due to suspicion of endangering safety, the school principal filed an official report with police.
One parent, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted the editorial office of the Mariborinfo portal. According to his account, the pupil had experienced difficulties on Friday, when teachers had to intervene. Over the weekend, he allegedly posted or sent messages on social media related to events at the school on Monday. The parent provided the editorial office with photographs of the alleged posts – one allegedly showed an image of a gun, and the other contained text referring to the school.
School principal Danijel Lilek sent an official notification to parents and teachers: "I am informing you that this evening I was made aware of a possible threat to the safety and health of pupils and staff at the school from a pupil. I thank you for the concern and good intentions of parents and teachers. Following consultation with our district police officer, I have filed an official report at the police station. They have assured me that they will take action tonight and keep me informed of developments."
Lilek expressed his conviction that safety for all pupils and staff would be ensured on Monday and that lessons would proceed without disruption. Police officers confirmed to the principal that they would handle the case that same night.
