An incident involving the buyer of a residential property occurred near Ilirska Bistrica yesterday at midday. According to reports from 24ur.com, police are treating the case as suspected commission of the criminal offence of minor bodily injury.

The incident took place around 12 o'clock. The woman had purchased a house from the seller some time ago and paid only part of the amount. The remaining sum was to be settled after the completion of the process of registering ownership in the land register.

The seller then came to the buyer together with her partner and pressured her regarding the unpaid money. The pair questioned her about the reasons for the delay and criticised her for not responding to their calls.

During this conversation, the woman attempted to withdraw into her premises and close the entrance. At that moment, the 72-year-old husband of the seller grabbed her by the wrist, twisted it painfully, and then struck her on the back of the neck.

After the assault, both left the scene. The victim called her son, and then travelled to the Izola hospital for a medical examination. Her son informed the police about everything at 13:53.

The Koper Police Directorate will lodge a charge against the perpetrator, who is 72 years old, for suspected minor bodily injury.
