Two serious violent incidents occurred in Izola during the night between Saturday and Sunday. At an event, a 19-year-old visitor was seriously injured by an acquaintance. Shortly afterwards, police received another report. Three men from Ljubljana, who were under the influence of alcohol, reported that they had been attacked by a group of assailants. One of those attacked lost several teeth in the altercation, and his two companions also sustained injuries. The relevant authorities are still investigating the precise course of both incidents.
In the past two days, police at the Koper Police Directorate received 856 calls to the 113 number and dealt with 168 cases. Among these were 52 traffic accidents, 11 breaches of public order, and 513 criminal offences. They also recorded burglaries, thefts, aggravated theft, serious assault, and domestic violence.
Among other matters, police in Postojna dealt with a case in which a younger man collided with an elderly American tourist in front of public toilets. The tourist later discovered that his wallet containing personal identification documents and money was missing. On a beach in Portorož, an unknown person stole backpacks from two visitors from Kranj, which contained mobile telephones, documents, a wallet, a watch, a card, and keys. In Spodnje Škofije, a burglar broke into a house and stole jewellery, money, and perfume.
