According to the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, the convict from Dob prison near Mirna fled from supervision after his hospitalisation ended. During the incident, a court police officer was slightly injured and received treatment at Novo Mesto General Hospital.
Police were informed of the escape immediately and launched activities to locate the convict. The Novo Mesto Police Directorate expressed gratitude to both the citizens who provided key information and the media following the successful arrest.
Brajdič will be handed over for further handling to court police officers. The Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions explained that they cannot provide more detailed information about the convict, including the reasons for hospitalisation and details of his sentence, due to personal data protection regulations.
