Slovenian police are searching for 55-year-old Tomaž Stopar, a citizen of the Republic of Slovenia, who has been at large since 12 May 2026. According to eposavje.com, Stopar is wanted on the basis of a European arrest warrant and extradition request issued by Croatia.
Prior to his flight, Stopar resided in Ljubljana and occasionally in the Dolenjska region, in the vicinity of Kostanjevica na Krki. Police believe it is highly probable that he is using a private vehicle of the brand VW Touareg, grey in colour, with Slovak registration plates AB 83 6FS.
Police are urging anyone who spots Stopar or the described vehicle to contact the emergency number 113 immediately or the anonymous phone line 080-1200. Information can also be submitted by email.
