In the night of Sunday, 5 July, a serious incident occurred in Zgornja Polskava when a car driver collided with a pedestrian and then left the scene of the collision.
The accident happened on Jurčičeva Street, near the location where a traditional firefighters' event was taking place. The driver was operating a black personal motor vehicle, an Opel Astra in saloon configuration.
After striking the person who was walking on the road, the perpetrator drove away without stopping and offering assistance. The injured person remained at the scene with minor injuries.
The Slovenska Bistrica Police Station has launched a search for the driver. They are calling on him to contact them so that the circumstances of the accident can be clarified. Anyone who could help resolve the case is asked to call the police emergency number 113 or the station on 02 818 50 00.
