The regional prosecutor's office in Trenčín has charged a group of seven people. They are alleged to have caused damage of more than €13.5 million to the labour office in Pezinok through subsidy fraud.

A group of seven suspects faces prosecution for fraudulent conduct from summer 2021. The regional prosecutor's office in Trenčín has formally charged them with two criminal offences – subsidy fraud committed by multiple perpetrators jointly and money laundering from unlawful activity.
According to spokesman Marián Sipavý, the events took place between June and August four years ago. The scheme targeted public funds designated to support employment.
The specific sum lost by the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family in Pezinok exceeds €13.5 million. The precise amount is €13,585,735.92.
The court is now examining the case. Further details about the method of conduct and the identity of the accused have not yet been disclosed.
