Extensive police operation targeting drug manufacturers and dealers was carried out on Monday. The operation affected the Bratislava and Nitra regions.
Four arrested in anti-drugs raid in western Slovakia
On Monday morning, members of a specialised anti-drugs unit launched a large-scale operation called Doctor. The aim was to dismantle a network of individuals suspected of manufacturing and selling prohibited substances.
During the raid, which focused on the western part of the country, four individuals were arrested. Several house searches and searches of other premises, including land, were carried out. Police seized various materials that could serve as evidence in criminal proceedings. Among the items seized were substances suspected of being narcotic or psychotropic products.
All evidence found will be subject to expert examination. Due to the ongoing investigation, the authorities have not yet released further details about the extent of the activity of those arrested or the exact quantity of substances seized.
The operation was conducted simultaneously in two regions – the area around Bratislava and the Nitra area. Criminal proceedings have been initiated on suspicion of committing an offence related to the illegal production and distribution of narcotic substances.
