A male teenager was shot multiple times on Watercourse Road in West Bay on Wednesday night and taken to hospital in stable condition. The RCIPS has opened an investigation and is seeking witnesses.

Teenager hospitalised after West Bay shooting

A male teenager was shot multiple times on Watercourse Road in West Bay on Wednesday evening, according to Cayman News Service. Emergency services responded to a 911 call just before 7:50pm and the victim was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has opened a formal investigation into the incident but has so far released very few details about what took place. No suspects have been identified at this stage.

Despite the limited information made public, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A RCIPS communications officer told Cayman News Service that further details were expected later in the day, once she had spoken with the detectives assigned to the case.
