Several people were hurt and one person arrested following an early morning stabbing on Highland Road in Easley, South Carolina. A police pursuit ended in Greenville County.

According to foxcarolina.com, the Pickens County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on the 1300 block of Highland Road in Easley at approximately 3:17 a.m. on Sunday. Deputies arrived to find a person with stab wounds to the upper torso, who was subsequently transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Following the initial response, a BOLO — be on the lookout — alert was issued to nearby agencies. Officers from the Easley Police Department located a suspicious vehicle near the scene whose driver matched the provided description. When officers attempted to make contact, the driver fled, prompting a pursuit that extended into Greenville County. Units from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office intercepted the vehicle and arrested the driver.
Pickens County Sheriff's Office detectives also attended the scene and secured a search warrant for the incident location. During the subsequent search, a second injured person connected to the incident was discovered and transported by EMS to Easley Baptist Hospital.
Investigators determined that a social gathering had taken place on Highland Road, during which large quantities of alcohol were consumed. Detectives are working to identify all individuals who attended the event and to establish what criminal charges may be appropriate.
Authorities stated the incident is isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the wider community.
