Teen dies after being run over at New Mexico trailer park fight
A teenager has been killed and another arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder after a confrontation at a trailer park in Dona Ana County, New Mexico, according to The Sun.
Investigators said the two teens had arranged to meet at Dove Canyon Trailer Park, on the 3800 block of South Main Street, to fight at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. A verbal altercation broke out, and as one of the teens attempted to leave the site, another reportedly stepped in front of his vehicle.
The driver then ran over the teen, county officials said. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The arrested teen has been booked and charged with first-degree murder with a depraved state of mind, as well as aggravated battery, after investigators concluded he deliberately ran over and killed the other teenager.
Because the case involves minors, authorities said they will not be releasing any identifying information about those involved. The investigation remains ongoing.
