A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after running over and killing another teen following a fight at a trailer park in Las Cruces. Dona Ana County officials said the incident occurred at around 5:30pm on Monday.

A teenager has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after running over and killing another young person during a fight at a trailer park in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Dona Ana County officials have said.
According to kfoxtv.com, investigators believe the two teens had arranged to meet at the Dove Canyon Trailer Park, in the 3800 block of South Main Street, at around 5:30pm on Monday with the intention of fighting.
A verbal altercation broke out at the scene. As one of the teenagers attempted to leave the park, the other reportedly stepped in front of the vehicle. The driver then ran over the teen, officials said.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries and later died. The arrested teen has been booked on charges of first-degree murder with a depraved state of mind and aggravated battery.
Because the case involves minors, authorities confirmed they would not be releasing identifying information about either individual. The investigation remains ongoing.
