St. Thomas Murder Suspect Jah'Sheem Graham Arrested in Orange County, Florida

St. Thomas Man Held in Florida in Connection with June Homicide
A St. Thomas man wanted in connection with the June 16 killing of 23-year-old Asani Henry has been arrested in Orange County, Florida, and is awaiting extradition to the U.S. Virgin Islands, viconsortium.com reported Tuesday.
Jah'Sheem Graham was taken into custody on Monday, September 28, by members of the U.S. Marshals Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force. He faces a charge of aiding and abetting first-degree murder, according to the V.I. Police Department.
Henry was shot on June 16 in the Hospital Ground area of St. Thomas. A resident called the 911 Emergency Call Center at approximately 3:40 p.m. to report gunfire. Officers who responded found Henry unresponsive with multiple apparent gunshot wounds; emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Graham left the territory on June 18 — two days after the killing — according to the Marshals Service. A second suspect is also accused in Henry's death, though federal authorities have not disclosed that person's identity or current status.
The VIPD formally requested assistance from the Marshals Service's Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force on September 23. Investigators from both agencies subsequently developed information placing Graham in the Orlando area. Five days later, task force members and the Orange County Sheriff's Office felony team located him in front of an apartment building in Orange County and arrested him without incident.
Graham remains in Florida custody pending extradition proceedings. The Marshals Service has not provided a timeline for his transfer to the territory.
Henry's death fell on one of the most violent days the territory recorded in 2026. Hours after he was killed, 55-year-old Fitzroy W. Wattley was fatally shot in Sanchez Town on St. Thomas. That same evening on St. Croix, 20-year-old Amani Daley was found shot near the Profit Hills community. The three deaths pushed the Virgin Islands homicide count at that point to 20 — 10 on St. Thomas and 10 on St. Croix.
VIPD officials held a briefing the following day, appealing to residents to cooperate with investigators and specifically addressing Henry's killing among the recent violent deaths in the St. Thomas–St. John District.
The homicide toll has continued to climb since then. Following the September 28 killing of 21-year-old J'Niya Rambaran on Veterans Drive, the Consortium's running count reached 39 homicides for 2026 — 17 on St. Thomas and 22 on St. Croix.
The Marshals Service noted that its fugitive task forces routinely coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to apprehend wanted individuals who cross jurisdictional lines.
