At around 16:30, two men forced their way into the apartment door of a 40-year-old man on Elisabethinergasse in Vienna. According to initial information, the background was a money demand that the resident owed to a woman. As the two intruders entered the flat, the 40-year-old reached for a gas-pressure pistol, the possession of which was not permitted, and fired in their direction.
The man originally comes from Graz. Whether the attackers were injured was not apparent from the report. The police subsequently arrested the man from Graz.
