A minor cyclist is in critical condition at a Plovdiv hospital after entering the oncoming lane and colliding with a car. The driver of the vehicle was tested for alcohol and drugs, with the results negative for alcohol but positive for narcotic substances.

In the town of Lyaki, a minor cyclist is in critical condition following a traffic incident. The police were notified shortly after 13:30 on Monday, according to the Plovdiv Directorate of the Interior Ministry.
The child suddenly entered the oncoming lane and collided with a light motor vehicle. As a result, the child was admitted to hospital in Plovdiv with serious injuries.
A check of the driver showed that he had not consumed alcohol but had taken narcotic substances. An examination of the incident scene was conducted.
A pre-trial investigation has been commenced under the supervision of an investigative police officer from the Asenovgrad District Directorate, according to the ministry.
