Detained in Germany for attack on Starlink antennas in Sofia region

German police have detained two 19-year-old German citizens wanted by Bulgaria in connection with the burning of Starlink antennas in the Sofia region on 9 October, Novinite.com reports, citing BNR.

The two were arrested in the German city of Duisburg. Bulgarian authorities have already issued European arrest warrants against them to their German counterparts, with the two expected to be extradited to Bulgaria.

The search warrants were issued after a court approved their issuance. Investigators have established that the two entered Bulgaria in the morning of 9 October and left the country the same evening — they crossed the border into Serbia at Kalotina just minutes before midnight.

The two are accused of burning eight antennas. Three of them were completely destroyed, three were burnt, and two suffered partial fire damage.
